September is here, bringing National Honey Month and our annual Bee’s Knees Week—a favorite time of year at Barr Hill Gin! As autumn colors begin to show, we’re diving into honey-inspired cocktails, local events, and new ways to support pollinators. Here’s everything happening at Barr Hill this month.

National Honey Month: Celebrate Raw Honey with Barr Hill Gin

This September, it’s honey honey honey. The National Honey Board’s “Honey Saves Hives” program is a great way to discover brands that are devoted to honey and pollinators. We are thrilled to partner with them and have our Barr Hill Gin in their program, and are inspired by the other featured brands. 

 

You can order Barr Hill raw honey online, but we also suggest reaching out to a local beekeeper or shopping at farmers markets to find responsibly harvested raw honey that celebrates the true terroir of your region. Cocktails, cheese plates, hot toddies and teas are all great ways to enjoy this delicious all-natural sweetener that offers incomparable flavor.

Bee’s Knees Week: Help Us Reach 1 Million Square Feet of Pollinator Habitat!

This is our 8th annual Bee’s Knees Week and we are aiming high this year! With your participation and partnership, we can reach 1 MILLION SQUARE FEET OF HABITAT funded by the Bee's Knees Week program. 

Habitat creation is a simple and direct way to support pollinators. And when we create that habitat near agriculture, pollinators help increase agricultural yields - this is a win win! 🙌🐝🥕

 Participation is so easy - all you have to do is enjoy a Barr Hill Bee’s Knees (make one at home or order it at your favorite bar/restaurant), share a photo of it on your social media tagging @barrhillgin and with #beeskneesweek. That’s it - we’ll plant 10sq/ft of pollinator habitat every time you post!

And NEW this year - we’ll plant an additional 20sq/ft of pollinator habitat for every Barr Hill bottle purchased during Bee’s Knees Week, making helping pollinators easier than ever! 

Find participating bars, restaurants and spirits shops near you with our map. And if your favorite restaurant or shop isn’t on there, encourage them to sign up! There is a simple sign up form on our site, and there is no donation requirement, they just need to help us build the buzz.
